The North Carolina Community Colleges Excellence Event, "The Great Within the 58," showcases the exceptional work of students, faculty, staff, presidents and partners, as well as the contributions of those who have tirelessly supported North Carolina's community colleges over the years.

The State Board of Community Colleges awards the prestigious I.E. Ready Award, President of the Year, Excellence in Teaching Award, Staff of the Year and Distinguished Partners in Excellence Awards. The North Carolina Association of Community College Presidents recognizes Academic Excellence Award recipients nominated by each college for their outstanding achievements in academics, the Governor Robert W. Scott Student Leadership Award and the Dallas Herring Achievement Award.
